Let’s face it baby the oil has been flowing out of the ground in Saudi Arabia, Russia and Texas for years and years. As a young engineer, one of my first jobs was installing the computer controls on a liquid CO2 pipeline. That’s right we worry so much about CO2 now but back then they had huge pipelines across Texas to pump it into the wells and heat it up. As it expands it takes the place of the oil and pushes out the last oil that is in a pocket in a well that is not producing as much. Shhh, don’t tell.
ABOVE’s oil comes from plants that eat the CO2 and makes it into finely pack oil molecules that work way better than crap that was rotting underground for 400,000,000 years.
Motor oils have been made of crude oil for so long that the whole industry is set up for it. The industry runs the certification process for cars, the manufacturers are given the oil and pay for the recommendation after the vehicle is sold. There are only about 13 people that certify new oils for the American Petroleum Institute so if you have a new oil and the $500,000 for the certification then you get an a two year waiting list to get tested the way they want to test. That test is not the way your engine normally runs. There are all kinds of exceptions and reasons for the methods they use and it helps the really bad oils pass.
It is much easier to just go with the flow, not buck the trend and pick the manufacturer’s recommended oil. The dealer will say don’t pick something without the Petroleum Institute’s very expensive seal of approval. But if you want your car to last longer, go faster and not pollute the front yard where your kids play with their shoes off then consider bucking the trend, doing some research and leading the way to a new generation of AI designed motor oils. Yes it is a small investment over good old crude oil, but unless you picked up a $800 junker, you might want to get the best oil to save on the $8,000 repair bill after the crude oil eats your parts up and fails on your trip home to see the kids, or that long holiday trip.
So we get that the whole system is set up against you ever trying or finding out about plant and algae based motor oils. I was a young business owner working in Moscow after the collapse of the USSR. My goal was to help them into capitalism so my children didn’t have to fight them or risk an atomic war. While on campus, meeting with professors trying to donate computers to them to build bridges I saw something unique. There were these absolutely gorgeous ladies dressed really nice holding trays and handing out things for free. I had to go see. There were other American and French companies there too. They were handing out nicotine addiction devices – cigarettes to young unsuspecting men. While we hope you’ll become addicted to our oils remember that if you choose to try them every step along the way will be roadblocks, mis information and worry from a system set up for one main product that’s been around for a century. But plants and algae have been around much longer and you tell them you don’t want to start fresh and take a chance with that new age 400,000,000 year oil. You want the good stuff, the stuff that mother nature’s been making for billions of years that allows us to breathe oxygen, the plant or algae based oil. You want the oil from ABOVE the ground. The clean stuff, the tight molecules that stick naturally to metal, that can handle much more heat and live longer. After they put it in say, things are looking up, things are looking up.
